Designed to highlight research and programs throughout Harvard on AIDS in Africa, this multi-disciplinary symposium offered the Harvard community an opportunity to become informed on the work of Harvard researchers, faculty, collaborators and students on the HIV epidemic in Africa.
This university-wide event included presentations by Harvard faculty on their work in sub-Saharan African, panel discussions on current issues, a discussion session focused on "What More Can Harvard Do?" and a poster exhibition. The former president of the Republic of Zambia, His Excellency Kenneth David Kaunda, and Harvard University Provost Steven Hyman both spoke.
